A comedy adapted by British playwright Tom Stoppard from a play by Gérald Sibleyras, Heroes follows World War I veterans Gustave, Philippe, and Henri as they plot their escape from a retired soldiers’ home. Stoppard peppers the play with brilliant wordplay and vivid characters and there’s abundant humor in the veterans’ interactions. A winner of the prestigious Olivier Award for Best New Comedy for its London production, Heroes features a trio of Tampa Bay’s funniest and most accomplished performers –- Steve Mountan, Jim Wicker, and C. David Frankel — and directed by Jo Averill-Snell.
